A FEW SIGNS OF SPRING

It looks like a few signs of spring a starting to show up at PARK PLACE ANTIQUES in Marion
I know there will be more and more as time goes by.
Just before this last snow storm,I could just seeee crocus peeking thru the dirt on the west side of my house. But when my hubby shoveled the drive he buried them with snow. As soon as I see them again I'll grab a pic or two.I'm sure everyone is ready to see that.In the mean time the weatherman says 40 by the weekend. Can you say OH YEA, BREAK OUT THE SUN SCREEN

HAVE A GOOD DAY THINK SPRING

AND TO THINK I SAW IT ON 1ST AVE

These 2 were just sitting in the trees on the bank, watching the water hoping for some thing to eat.
I watch a web cam from Luther Collage that has a live feed of a eagle nest. WAY COOL. Last year the first egg was laid on Feb 15th, so I guess it could be any day now. There has been a lot of getting ready new sticks, twigs and such. Pretty neat

YOU DON'T SEE THIS EVERYDAY

When I came out of my Drs. office today (Feb 7th ) I sure wasn't expecting to see a tree full of Robins, but there they were. This is facing 4th Ave in Cedar Rapids, you can see the large pile of snow from last weeks snow storm 10 inches here. Either these robins are waay mixed up or we are in for some crazy weather. The temp tomarrow night is supposed to be down in the low teens. As I was crossing the river in the heart of town I saw a bald eagle swoop into the river. I parked my car got out camera in hand and sure enough there he was sitting on the ice. I love watching eagles, there were at least half a dozen flying around the 5 in 1 dam. I have a couple more pics that didn't come thru I'll try to get them later.
